Number One Reason You Should (Do) Redirect RSS Feeds

Redirect RSS Feeds Without Plugin

  • For this purpose, you need to edit your .htaccess file. If you know how to access this file then better otherwise you can read an article about it. How to access the .htaccess file?
  • After open the file just places the below code.

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !FeedBurner [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !FeedValidator [NC]
RewriteRule ^feed/?([_0-9a-z-] )?/?$ [R=302,NC,L]
  • Just save it and now check.

Don’t forget to change these lines with your site feeds If you forget to change this line then your all users will redirect to our feeds. So don’t forget to change this line. If you face any issue regarding redirect RSS feeds. Then leave a comment in the comment section.

If you are facing issue after placing the above code then just log in your CPanel account and rename your .htaccess to .htaccess_old. After that just open your site URL if you are seeing the issue has been resolved then remove this code. Otherwise, check the issue often these type of issues are removed by refresh your permalinks.

Login your WordPress dashboard » Settings » Permalink.

Hit save without making any changes.
